Novel Materials

Research is focused on the growth and properties of novel material systems like semiconductor/semimetal heterostructures. Quantum transport through ultra thin epitaxial films of semimetals buried inside compound semiconductors is used to understand the effect of quantum confinement on electron states in semimetals and the relation between material structure and transport.
